The Jailhouse Inn is located in the heart of downtown Newport, less than five minutes from the Newport Bridge. It is also within two blocks of the Newport Visitors Center (“Discover Newport”).
A note about parking: There are parking spots in the front of the Jailhouse, and along the building on the Charles Street side. We also have our own parking lot, which is just to the left as you face the front of the inn. Due to one way streets, it is necessary to enter the lot from behind our building. To access the lot, turn down Charles Street, just to the right of the Jailhouse, then take an immediate left into the alley directly behind our building. You will find entry to the parking lot at the end on the left.
